Artist's Description

The Prancing pair is a painting done of two of the wonderland pier carousel horses. I have always been fascinated by the workmanship,artistry,history and fantasy aspects of these original hand carved carousels and have done a series of these paintings over the years.

Paul Amaranto

I have always been interested in Art,studying it throughout my elementary and high school years. While pursuing a degree in Landscape Architecture at Rutgers University,I took a studio art course and decided that I wanted to pursue a fine art course of study. With a major concentration in painting and a minor concentration in silk screen printing. I recieved a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art in 1974. For the next few years I continued to paint and pursue other artistic mediums,such as stain glass and sculpture while working full time in other fields. While working in the late eighties and early nineties I had the free time to concentrate on my art work. During this period I entered and was accepted into several juried art shows...
