This is a painting of one of the windows in the Asbury Park carousel pavilion weeping for its lost carousel horses. While the building still stands and now has other uses the carousel has been broken up and the horses have been sold off.
About Paul Amaranto
I have always been interested in Art,studying it throughout my elementary and high school years. While pursuing a degree in Landscape Architecture at Rutgers University,I took a studio art course and decided that I wanted to pursue a fine art course of study. With a major concentration in painting and a minor concentration in silk screen printing. I recieved a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art in 1974. For the next few years I continued to paint and pursue other artistic mediums,such as stain glass and sculpture while working full time in other fields. While working in the late eighties and early nineties I had the free time to concentrate on my art work. During this period I entered and was accepted into several juried art shows...
