I have known George since 1967 he was a good friend I did this painting of him and his shop during the surfing art festival in ocean city last year in his memory. I will miss seeing him

This is a painting of George Gerlach one of the people most responsible for the introduction and continuation of surfing in New Jersey. He was the father of surfing fore and many many others.

Paul Amaranto

I have always been interested in Art,studying it throughout my elementary and high school years. While pursuing a degree in Landscape Architecture at Rutgers University,I took a studio art course and decided that I wanted to pursue a fine art course of study. With a major concentration in painting and a minor concentration in silk screen printing. I recieved a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art in 1974. For the next few years I continued to paint and pursue other artistic mediums,such as stain glass and sculpture while working full time in other fields. While working in the late eighties and early nineties I had the free time to concentrate on my art work. During this period I entered and was accepted into several juried art shows...
